Re-doing a line from one of my favorite Mouseketeer songs written by Jimmie Dodd. I would have to say that our club is a merry band of Disney enthusiest! This month after our May meeting at Steve and Tammy's house we will all go to see the new Pirates of the Carribean movie "On Stranger Tides" We always have a great time when we get together. How could we not, when it's based on our love of Disney. Our group comes from all walks of life, but has the common thread of "Enjoying the Mouse", sharing good times, like trips to Disneyland, Disneyworld, collecting Disney, or going to Disney events in the local area such as the Pacific Northwest Mouse Meet in Lynnwood next month. This is one of my favorite songs and it comes from the Disney movie So Dear to my Heart. If you have not seen this movie, find it and watch it. It was one of Walt Disney's favorites as it reminded him of his youth on the farm. Anyway the song talks about making good with the things you have been given, no matter how small or large. One of the things I really appreciate about being a MountainEar is the giving attitude in this club. Every year our club members donate 100s of new toys to benefit Seattle Childrens Hospital at Christmas time. We also use any monies collected from our monthly meeting auctions (which members also donate to) to help several chosen charities, such as Make A Wish. We have a great time together at meetings and events, but it is nice to know that we can bless others while we have that fun.
